Logan Grimnar is the Great Wolf, the supreme master of the Space Wolves, and among the most storied Chapter Masters of the age. Of his more than seven centuries of life he has ruled the Chapter for over five hundred years, making him one of the oldest lords in the entire Adeptus Astartes, and in all that time his will has never bent and his loyalty to the Emperor and to Leman Russ has never wavered.
He is famed as perhaps the most headstrong and belligerent Chapter Master in the Imperium, a warrior who speaks his mind to the High Lords of Terra and cares nothing for the offence it gives. Yet his bluntness is matched by a martial prowess that observers reckon among the very greatest of any living Space Marine, set by some above even such legends as Dante of the Blood Angels or Calgar of the Ultramarines. Some name him, quite simply, the finest Wolf Lord ever to have lived.
In battle Grimnar wields the Axe Morkai, a double-headed relic weapon of fearsome power, and it was with this very axe that he once struck a grievous wound upon the daemon primarch Magnus the Red, buying the time needed to cast the traitor back into the warp. His first hints of greatness came long ago, in his Trial of Morkai, when he slew a monstrous ice-beast that had devoured dozens of the Chapter's aspirants.
