Redemptor Dreadnought

A towering Primaris war engine, the Redemptor Dreadnought carries a grievously wounded hero into battle as an unstoppable engine of retribution.

Every Dreadnought is a tomb as much as a weapon, a sarcophagus housing a Battle-Brother too grievously wounded to survive outside its life-sustaining embrace yet too valuable in skill and memory for the Chapter to simply let die. The Redemptor pattern, developed alongside the wider Primaris program, is markedly larger and more heavily armed than the venerable Dreadnought chassis that came before it, built from the outset as a walking arsenal rather than a retrofitted relic.

Sealed inside, the interred hero exists in a twilight state between life and machine, his fading consciousness roused to fury only when battle is joined, at which point the Redemptor becomes something close to an avenging spirit given armored form. Its onboard weapons systems are devastating enough to shred infantry and light vehicles in the same engagement, and its sheer bulk lets it wade through fire that would force any organic unit to ground, making it a favored spearhead for punching straight through a hardened defensive line.
