The Warp Spiders draw their name from the small, ferocious creatures that dwell within the wraithbone heart of a craftworld and guard its infinity circuit against intruders. Like those tireless sentinels, the Aspect embodies the principle of aggressive defence, hurling itself at any threat to the craftworld with a ferocity that belies the Aeldari's usual grace. Theirs is reckoned one of the most perilous of all the Warrior Paths to walk.
The source of their power, and their peril, is the jump generator built into each warrior's pack. At a thought it tears open a brief passage into the warp, letting the Spider blink across the field in a heartbeat to reappear where least expected. Yet every leap carries the wearer a hair's breadth from damnation, for the immaterium claws hungrily at the soul with each transit, and only iron nerve keeps a Warp Spider from being dragged screaming into its depths.
When they strike, they wield the death spinner, a weapon that spews a dense skein of monofilament thread and hurls it at the enemy on a shroud of magnetic force. The near-invisible wire coils and constricts, shearing through flesh and bone with horrifying ease. A squad of Warp Spiders will materialise at the exposed flank of a foe, loose their lethal harvest, and flicker away into the warp once more before any answer can be made, their enemy left clutching at empty air.
