Fuegan

Fuegan learned the arts of war at the first Shrine of Asur, one of the Asurya who studied beneath Asurmen while the memory of the Fall was still raw. From that tutelage he founded the Fire Dragons, the Aspect that channels the destroying fire of the war god Khaine, and imbued it with a stark philosophy: that through selective, surgical destruction the Aeldari might spare the galaxy a greater oblivion, burning away what must be burned so that the whole need not perish.

In him that fire is made flesh. Fuegan embodies the facet of Khaine that is not content merely to slay but demands that the foe be unmade utterly, seared from existence and left as smouldering ruin. He goes to war bearing a great fire axe and the firepike Searsong, a weapon without equal that no other hand has borne, and where he treads the very ground is scorched black in his passing.

Above all Fuegan is known for a tenacity that verges upon the unstoppable. It is said he has never once abandoned a battle, holding his ground through wounds that would lay any other low, rising again and again to press the fight to its bitter end. This grim endurance has become the hallmark of the Fire Dragons themselves, who share their founder's refusal to yield while a single enemy still stands.

Yet it is prophecy that lends Fuegan his darkest significance. Aeldari seers foretell that at the Rhana Dandra, the last battle in which the fate of their race and their gods will be decided, it is Fuegan who must summon the surviving Phoenix Lords to the final reckoning. In that ending, when demigods and daemon kings shake the galaxy, the Burning Lance is destined to be the last of his kind to fall, his fire the final light of the Aeldari to be extinguished.
