Where other Aspect Shrines specialise in the slaying of warriors, the Fire Dragons exist to unmake machines and melt fortresses. They embody the aspect of Khaine as the destroyer, the flame that consumes all, and they approach their grim art with a cold, exacting patience utterly at odds with the incandescent violence of their weapons.
Each Fire Dragon carries a fusion gun, a fearsome close-range weapon that projects a lance of superheated matter capable of reducing a battle tank to a puddle of glowing metal or vaporising a bunker's occupants where they stand. Because these weapons demand proximity to be effective, Fire Dragons must approach their towering prey closely, and so they rely upon the swift transports of the craftworlds to deliver them within striking distance before the enemy can react. Led by an Exarch whose expertise makes her a peerless killer of armour, a squad of Fire Dragons can gut an enemy's heaviest assets in a single blazing volley, then withdraw before retaliation can find them. On the battlefield they are the answer to any threat too well protected for lesser weapons to touch.
