A Warlock is a seer in the making, an Aeldari who has stepped from the Path of the Warrior onto the Path of the Seer and begun to wield the psychic powers that slumber within their kind. They have not yet attained the towering foresight of a Farseer, and their gifts run to the immediate and the martial rather than the subtle unravelling of fate, but their history sets them apart from other fledgling psykers.
Because every Warlock once wore the war-mask of an Aspect Warrior, they alone can safely marry their psychic art to the battle-lust that consumes the Aeldari in war. Where an untempered seer might be overwhelmed by the fury they unleash, a Warlock rides it, hurling destructive energies with the same discipline they once brought to blade and shuriken. Their chosen weapon is the witchblade, a force weapon alive with writhing runes through which their power is shaped and loosed.
In the field the Warlocks stand as the aides and shield-bearers of the Farseers, lending their strength to the seer's designs and turning aside the blows meant for their masters. Gathered together into a conclave they form a choir of power, weaving wards and curses across the battlefield, and it is often Warlocks who sing the souls of the fallen into wraithbone constructs, binding spirit to shell so that the honoured dead may fight on.
