Baharroth was among the foremost students of Asurmen, learning the Path of the Warrior at the first and greatest Shrine of Asur while the wound of the Fall was still fresh in the souls of his people. From that teaching he became the first of the Aeldari to carry war into the skies, founding the Swooping Hawks and pioneering the anti-gravity wings that let his followers strike from above. In him the Aspect of the wild hunting bird, symbol of vengeance in Aeldari myth, was first given warrior form.
He is reckoned the fastest Aeldari who has ever lived, and in battle he is a blur of motion, crossing the sky like a rising gale and falling upon the foe with the fury of a hurricane. He bears the Shining Blade, a weapon said to have been forged by the daughters of Vaul in the dying light of a supernova, and where he passes the enemy is scattered and slain before they can so much as raise their weapons against him.
Among the Phoenix Lords, Baharroth is a figure of hope as much as of slaughter. He is often said to herald the dawn, appearing with the first light to lead the assault, and his coming lifts the hearts of the Aeldari even as it fills their enemies with dread. Where his brethren are grim and forbidding, the Cry of the Wind carries something of the promise of renewal, a reminder that even a dying people may still strike back with sudden and glorious violence.
Like all Phoenix Lords, Baharroth has fallen in battle many times across the long millennia, his soul carried on within his armour to possess a new bearer and rise again. Countless battlefields have known his wrath, and countless foes have died beneath his blade, yet he returns anew each time, ageless and undimmed. To the Swooping Hawks who follow him, each rebirth is proof that the storm can never truly be stilled.
