Of all the Warrior Aspects, the Shining Spears are among the least numerous and the most singular, for they alone take to battle mounted upon the sleek anti-gravity jetbikes of the Aeldari. In them is honoured the legend of Khaine's spear, the invincible weapon of the war god that flashed like lightning and slew any foe it struck. A charge of Shining Spears seeks to recreate that myth in miniature, a single perfect stroke that shatters the enemy in an instant.
Their mounts skim above the roughest ground at breakneck speed, so perfectly attuned to their riders that the Spears can weave through storms of fire with a flick of thought. Each warrior bears a laser lance, an elegant weapon that unleashes an intense burst of energy at the moment of the charge, its power spent to greatest effect as the rider crashes home. Twin shuriken catapults set into the jetbike add their hail to the assault as the Spears streak past.
Even a handful of Shining Spears can turn the course of a hard-fought battle, for their charges land with such sudden violence that few formations can withstand the shock. They wheel away as swiftly as they came, gathering distance before hurling themselves at the foe once more. Their founder, the Phoenix Lord Drastanta, vanished not long after raising the first of their shrines, and the Aspect has remained rare and rarefied ever since.
