Screamer-Killer

The Screamer-Killer is among the oldest and most infamous of the Great Devourer's living war-engines, a heavy Carnifex variant remembered with dread from the first human encounters with the Tyranids. Where a common Carnifex is a battering ram of chitin and muscle, the Screamer-Killer is refined for terror as much as slaughter, its towering frame crowned with scything talons and a maw that channels volatile bio-plasma into a blinding lance of energy.

Its name comes from the hideous psychic scream it emits as it closes for the kill, a shriek that claws at the minds of defenders and turns disciplined firing lines into routs. Directed by the Hive Mind, it advances with single-minded purpose, shrugging off wounds that would fell lesser beasts and crashing into armour and infantry alike. To the swarm it is both siege-breaker and living weapon of dread, unleashed where the enemy's spirit must be broken as surely as their bodies.
