The Neurolictor is a refinement of the Lictor's hunting design, an infiltrating predator evolved to wage war on the enemy's mind and cohesion rather than simply their flesh. Cloaked by chameleonic hide and unnatural stealth, it stalks the fringes of a battle unseen, projecting a subtle field of psychic dread that gnaws at the resolve of nearby soldiers and unmoors them from their officers' commands.
Where its presence falls, discipline frays: orders go unheard, squads hesitate, and the careful coordination of a defence begins to unravel. When it does strike, the Neurolictor's scything claws make short, brutal work of isolated targets before it melts back into cover. As a forward organism of the Tyranids, it serves the Hive Mind as both scout and saboteur, softening a foe's morale and unity so that the wider swarm crashes into a defence already crumbling from within. It is terror given chitin, hunting in the spaces between courage and command.
