Hive Fleet Behemoth

The first hive fleet to breach Imperial space, a brutal vanguard that taught humanity the true meaning of extinction.

Behemoth was the herald none of the galaxy's great powers were prepared for. It struck the eastern fringe with an almost contemptuous simplicity, overwhelming garrison after garrison through sheer density of claws and teeth rather than any subtlety of strategy. Entire sectors that had stood against orks, pirates, and rebellion for millennia fell in single campaigns, their populations rendered into the raw stock of the next assault.

What made Behemoth so difficult to counter was not cunning but momentum. It absorbed staggering losses without ever slowing, throwing wave after wave of expendable broods into the meat grinder until whatever defended a world simply ran out of ammunition, courage, or bodies. Imperial commanders who survived its passing described a foe that fought like weather, indifferent to casualties because casualties meant nothing to a mind that measured victory only in biomass harvested.

Though eventually broken at tremendous cost, Behemoth's incursion reshaped Imperial doctrine permanently. It was the fleet that proved the Tyranids were not a myth from the Dark Age of Technology but an active, growing threat, and its shattered remnants are still hunted through the void to this day.
