The Mawloc is a serpentine horror bred for subterranean ambush, a cousin of the Trygon that hunts not with speed across the surface but with sudden, cataclysmic emergence from below. It swims through soil and rock as easily as water, tracking the vibrations of its prey, before erupting upward in a spray of earth and gore to swallow those unlucky enough to stand above it.
Driven by the Hive Mind, a Mawloc will breach, feed, and submerge again, only to strike a second time elsewhere on the field moments later, spreading panic through an enemy who can never be sure where the ground itself will betray them. Its distended maw and rows of hooked teeth are built to seize and drag victims into the crushing dark. For the Tyranids, the Mawloc is a weapon of pure terror, unmaking the illusion of safety anywhere the swarm's shadow has fallen.
