A hive tyrant's body is a study in adaptable violence, capable of being grown with monstrous scything talons for close combat, bio-cannons fused into its very musculature for ranged devastation, or some combination the Hive Mind judges necessary for a given campaign. Many are also granted powerful psychic potency, able to warp the perceptions of nearby enemies or hurl bolts of raw psychic force that can annihilate armored formations in a single strike.
To see a hive tyrant on a battlefield is to understand that the swarm before you is not merely attacking but being directed with purpose, every subordinate creature's movements bent toward objectives the tyrant alone seems to perceive, whispered to it directly from whatever vast intelligence waits in the dark beyond the stars.
