Ork Trukk

A ramshackle, scrap-built Ork transport with one purpose: hurling a mob of howling Boyz across the battlefield and into the enemy as fast as possible.

The Trukk is the workhorse of the Ork war machine, a fast, flimsy, gloriously ramshackle transport whose entire reason for existing is to deliver a mob of screaming Boyz into the enemy as quickly as greenskin engineering allows. Most begin life as the gutted shell of some looted vehicle, a burned-out Imperial transport, an abandoned chassis, anything with room for an engine, before a Mek bolts on wheels, a driver's perch, and whatever weapons and jagged scrap will make it look suitably killy.

Subtlety and safety play no part in the design. A Trukk roars into battle grossly overloaded, Orks clinging to every surface, its engine howling far beyond anything its cobbled-together frame should tolerate, held together as much by momentum and enthusiasm as by rivets. When one is finally shot out from under its passengers, the wreck tends to cartwheel spectacularly, flinging Boyz in all directions, an outcome the Orks regard less as a disaster than as an exciting and slightly early arrival.

Every Trukk is unique, kustomised endlessly by its crew even after the Mek has finished with it, and frequently decorated in the colours and quirks of its owners' clan. For all their fragility, Trukks embody something essential about the way Orks make war: the conviction that the fastest route to a good fight is a straight line driven flat out, and that a vehicle need only hold together long enough to reach the enemy once.
