Killa Kans

Squat, boxy walkers built around a single armed Grot pilot, waddling into battle with more enthusiasm than coordination.

Killa Kans occupy a strange niche in Ork war machinery, sized and armed enough to matter on a battlefield but simple enough that even a Gretchin can be trusted, more or less, to pilot one. Each Kan is a squat armored shell wrapped around a single terrified Grot, wired into a crude cockpit and given control over whatever weapons the mekboy managed to bolt to the frame that week, from buzzsaws to a stubby cannon.

What Killa Kans lack in grace they make up for in raw persistence, lurching across the battlefield on stubby legs that never quite move in a coordinated fashion but somehow keep the machine upright and advancing regardless. Mobs of Killa Kans advancing together make for an oddly menacing sight, their pilots' screams of terror audible even over the grinding of gears and the roar of makeshift engines.

Grot-Powered Menace

Despite the fear gripping most Kan pilots, the machines themselves prove surprisingly resilient, absorbing damage that would cripple more delicate constructions without slowing down. Ork mekboyz consider the Killa Kan one of their more reliable designs precisely because it asks so little of its pilot beyond staying conscious and pointing the weapon at something green-hating, a low bar that even a panicking Grot can usually clear.
