Meganobz

The richest and toughest Nobz sealed in crude mega armour, walking tanks that shrug off cannon fire and rip vehicles apart with their power klaws.

Meganobz are what happens when the wealthiest and most battle-hardened Nobz in a warband pay a Mek to seal them inside a suit of mega armour. Bashed together from thick steel plate, salvaged power-exoskeletons, hydraulic rams, and whatever military scrap the Mek had lying about, this armour turns an already enormous Ork into a lumbering fortress of muscle and metal, and stands as one of the proudest status symbols a greenskin can own.

The trade-off is speed. Mega armour weighs a tonne or more and moves its wearer at a ponderous stomp, but what it costs in agility it repays many times over in sheer survivability. A direct hit from a tank shell is likely to do little more than knock a Meganob onto his back and sour his already foul temper. Encased in this near-impregnable shell, the Meganob wields a power klaw that can tear open armoured hulls and a built-in kombi-weapon that lends a surprising volume of fire to his advance.

Because a squad of Meganobz can soak up punishment that would annihilate lesser Orks, they most often march at the very heart of a warband, forming an elite bodyguard around a Warboss and grinding forward as an unstoppable armoured spearhead. They relish the role, trusting their plate to carry them through the worst the enemy can throw so they can reach the fighting and start swinging, which, to a Meganob, is the entire point of climbing into the suit in the first place.
