Among the many Ork clans, the Goffs are the ones every other greenskin secretly wishes he could out-muscle and never quite manages to. Bigger on average than other Orks and utterly devoted to close-quarters violence, Goffs treat guns as something you carry until you're close enough to use something better: your fists, a choppa, or whatever heavy object happens to be nearby. They wear black as their clan color not out of subtlety but because it looks suitably grim smeared with the blood of the enemy.
Goff culture prizes toughness above cleverness, and their approach to leadership reflects it perfectly. A Goff Warboss does not out-think his rivals so much as out-last and out-hit them, and the clan's proudest boast is that more Warlords and Warbosses across Ork history have come from Goff stock than any other clan, simply because nobody argues for long with an Ork who can put a fist through a bulkhead.
Purest of the Green
Goffs consider themselves the most authentically Ork of all the clans, the ones who never diluted their fighting spirit with obsessions over speed, shiny gear, or clever gadgets the way other klans do. To a Goff, the perfect battle plan is the one that gets everyone into melee range as quickly and directly as possible, and any strategy more complicated than that is viewed with deep suspicion, as something that smells faintly of not wanting to fight properly.
Orks
Order of battle
The Goffs field the units of the Orks — a detachment from the roster:
Kindred formations
Other Orks formations
Bad MoonsThe wealthiest Ork clan, whose mastery of trade and gaudy yellow gear keeps every other clan's war machine running.
Blood AxesThe most cunning and least trusted Ork clan, mercenaries who trade with the Imperium, wear camouflage, and will actually retreat to fight another day.
DeathskullsThe Ork clan of incorrigible looters and scroungers, who daub themselves in lucky blue and pilfer anything not bolted down, friend or foe alike.
Evil SunzSpeed-obsessed Orks who believe painting a vehicle red makes it faster and would rather crash into the enemy than shoot them.
FreebooterzPiratical Orks who have cut ties with any single clan to roam the stars for plunder, decked in gaudy finery beneath the dreaded Jolly Ork flag.
SnakebitesThe most traditionalist Ork clan, feral throwbacks who scorn fancy tech for war paint, poison-proof hide, and the fierce beasts they breed for war.
