Ork Boyz are the beating heart of any Waaagh!, the rank-and-file greenskins who make up the overwhelming bulk of every mob a Warboss ever leads to war. Individually crude fighters armed with whatever choppa and shoota their mekboy could scrounge together, Boyz become genuinely dangerous in the numbers Ork society reliably produces, swarming forward in a tide that most defenders find impossible to fully stop before it reaches melee range.
What Boyz lack in finesse they more than make up for in sheer appetite for combat. A mob of Boyz does not need elaborate orders or careful positioning; it needs a direction to run in and something to hit once it arrives, and Ork instinct handles the rest. Nobz, the biggest and meanest Boyz in any given mob, naturally rise to lead their smaller kin, less through formal appointment than through the simple Ork principle that the one who can hit hardest gets listened to.
Grown for War
Every Boy springs from Ork spores already equipped with an instinctive understanding of violence, needing no training beyond a shoved weapon and a pointed finger toward the enemy. This makes them endlessly renewable in a way few other armies in the galaxy can match; a defeated mob of Boyz today is simply the fertilizer for a fresh mob tomorrow, and Imperial commanders who think they have wiped out an Ork infestation are often shocked at how quickly the greenskins seem to return, sometimes to the very same battlefield.
