Skulltaker, whose true name is U'zuhl, was the very first Bloodletter that Khorne ever raised from the boiling blood of his realm, and in the instant of his creation he struck the head from the next daemon he laid eyes upon. The Blood God was well pleased, and so began an existence devoted to a single, murderous art. When U'zuhl claimed his eight hundred and eighty-eighth skull, Khorne anointed him as his Sacred Executioner and bestowed upon him the title by which he is now feared across a thousand worlds.
As a Herald of Khorne, Skulltaker rides to war upon the brazen Juggernaut Khul'tyran, often at the head of the Cohort of Blood, a chosen host drawn from the greatest Bloodletters of the legions. Yet he cares little for the wider battle. Wherever he treads he seeks out the single most formidable warrior the enemy can offer, cutting down any lesser foe who dares bar his path, until he stands face to face with a champion worthy of his blade.
Most of the skulls he takes are claimed at once for the Blood God's throne, but a rare few, won from foes who tested him truly, Khorne permits him to keep. These trophies Skulltaker binds into a grisly cloak with cords of bloody sinew, each grinning skull a monument to a duel survived. To be marked by his gaze is a death sentence, for no armour, no title and no desperate flight has yet spared a champion he has chosen.
The tally of his victims spans the ages and the species. He strode beside the Daemon Primarch Angron during the First War for Armageddon and felled a full quarter of the Grey Knights arrayed against them, and in the slaughter at Haranshemash seventeen Aeldari Exarchs fell to his blade one after another. Each such kill only sharpens his hunger, for Skulltaker exists to prove that no warrior in all creation can best the executioner of the Blood God.
