The Skull Cannon is a daemon engine wrought in the shape of a great war-chariot, forged, some Inquisitors fear, in the furnaces at the very foot of Khorne's throne. Atop the rumbling body of the Blood Throne squats an enormous cannon of blackened brass, and to its frame are chained a pair of snarling Bloodletters who goad the wilful engine toward the thickest of the fighting. Prouder and more contemptuous than the fiercest Juggernaut, the Skull Cannon suffers its lesser kin only grudgingly, hungering always for fresh bone.
The weapon it bears is fed upon the dead. Broken and dying foes are dragged into its gaping maw to be roasted in daemonic fire and ground to splinters, the pulped remains spat out behind in a red wake while the scorched skulls are kept whole. These the Skull Cannon flings across the battlefield, wreathed in flame and screaming as they arc into the enemy to burst amid their ranks. Every skull it hurls is at once a weapon and an offering, another trophy claimed for the Lord of Skulls, and the engine grows only more eager as the slaughter mounts around it.
