Fiends of Slaanesh are nightmares given sinuous form, chimerical hunting beasts that blend reptile, insect and something disturbingly human into a single scuttling shape. Segmented and scaled, they move on cloven hooves with unnatural, darting speed, snapping crab-like claws before them and lashing a barbed tail whose sting drips with agonising venom. To the Dark Prince they are living instruments of the hunt, as beautiful as they are deadly in the eyes of those they run down.
Yet a Fiend's most insidious weapon is neither claw nor sting but sensation. From its body wafts a soporific musk, a heady narcotic perfume that immobilises prey and lulls the mind into rapturous dreams, so that limbs grow heavy and thoughts drift dreamily elsewhere even as death draws near. As it closes for the kill it lets out a keening song, a haunting weave of melody, discord and throbbing rhythm that is at once sound and psychic assault, resonating back through the Warp to the Palace of Pleasure itself. Ensnared by scent and song, the victim scarcely stirs as the Fiend rends it apart with slow, luxurious care, savouring every note of its suffering for its master's delight.
