Khorne is the Blood God, the Lord of Skulls, eldest and most powerful of the four Ruinous Powers who dwell within the Immaterium. He is born of every act of murder and rage, of every drop of blood spilled in anger since the first killing at the dawn of sentient life. Enthroned atop a mountain of brass and bone that rises from an endless sea of gore, he watches the galaxy burn and roars a single eternal command: kill.
Khorne despises cowardly sorcery and the scheming of his rivals, valuing only the strength of arms, the honour of the warrior, and the skulls of the slain. He counts no distinction between the blood of friend or foe, for all slaughter feeds his rage. His war-cry echoes through the minds of the wrathful across ten thousand worlds: 'Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!'
His chosen mortal champions are the World Eaters, berserkers whose minds are riven by the Butcher's Nails, while his daemon hordes of Bloodletters and towering Bloodthirsters carve red ruin wherever the veil between worlds grows thin. Among his most hated foes stand the sons of Sanguinius, the Blood Angels, who battle their own inner thirst even as they resist his call. Yet Khorne is no mere butcher; he prizes courage and martial skill above mindless killing, and reserves his deepest contempt for the treacherous and the weak.
