The Beast of Nurgle is perhaps the most tragic of all daemons, a great slug-bodied thing that hauls itself along on flapping, useless flippers, trailing a reeking slick of slime. From its shoulders rises a face of writhing tentacles, and a whip-like tail lashes ceaselessly behind it in what can only be described as delight. For unlike its murderous kin, the Beast bears no hatred for mortal life. It is, to its very simple mind, endlessly curious and desperate to make new friends.
Herein lies the horror, for the Beast's friendship is lethal. It bounds toward newcomers like an over-eager hound, slobbering and nuzzling, caressing them with its many tentacles and lavishing them with slimy licks of its long tongue. In moments the object of its affection is sickened, infected and dissolved, then crushed beneath the daemon's vast, oozing bulk. The Beast feels only a flicker of sorrow that its new companion will no longer play, before some fresh sight or sound draws its attention and it lollops happily away in search of another friend to love to death. Those it leaves behind mark its passing as a smear of rot and stinking mucus.
