Where other dynasties measure strength in territory or ferocity, the nobles of Mephrit measure it in the destructive elegance of their weapons. Long before their fall into dormancy, Mephrit's artisans and weaponsmiths were renowned for refining the necrons' already fearsome arsenal into instruments capable of erasing matter itself at the subatomic level. That legacy has survived the eons largely intact, and Mephrit legions field some of the most concentrated firepower found in any dynasty's arsenal.

Mephrit doctrine emphasizes overwhelming, precisely targeted destruction over maneuver or subtlety. Their commanders favor tactics that strip away an enemy's cover, fortifications, and armor in a single devastating exchange, preferring to let annihilation beams and gauss weaponry do the work that other dynasties might attempt with blades or subterfuge. There is a certain grim pride among Mephrit's nobility in the idea that their enemies are rarely permitted the dignity of a prolonged battle.

Golden light gleams across Mephrit's tomb complexes as their forges hum back to life, and the dynasty has shown a particular interest in reclaiming the ancient annihilation technologies that were scattered or lost during the long sleep. To the Mephrit mind, a galaxy of upstart empires exists chiefly as a proving ground for weapons their ancestors perfected before those empires' distant ancestors had learned to shape iron.
