Every soul in the Celestial Vindicators died with a debt unpaid — a slaughtered family, a broken oath, a home razed while they watched helpless. Sigmar did not cleanse that rage upon the Anvil; he tempered it into a blade. Clad in storm-turquoise and gold, the Vindicators are the most ferocious of all the Stormhosts, and their every charge carries the weight of grievances the grave could not settle.
What separates them from mere berserkers is the thinnest, hardest discipline in the storm. A Vindicator holds formation the way a drawn bowstring holds tension — trembling, straining, lethal the instant it is loosed. Their commanders fight a constant inner war to aim the host's fury rather than merely survive it, unleashing it upon the servants of Chaos in retributions so total that whole warbands are unmade in an afternoon. To face them is to meet an army that hungers not for victory but for reckoning.
That hunger makes them Sigmar's chosen answer to atrocity. Where the Ruinous Powers work some fresh horror, the Vindicators are loosed to repay it in kind, and among the Stormcast Eternals they are half-revered and half-feared — the host that remembers, in blood, precisely what was taken from it.
Stormcast Eternals
Order of battle
The Celestial Vindicators field the units of the Stormcast Eternals — a detachment from the roster:
Kindred formations
Other Stormcast Eternals formations
Anvils of the HeldenhammerGrim, black-armoured Stormcast drawn from souls of an older, darker age. The Anvils fight with funereal patience and a closeness to death that unsettles even their allies, for many of them were dead long before Sigmar's storm found them.
Hallowed KnightsThe faithful given form — every Hallowed Knight was a mortal who called on Sigmar's name with their dying breath. Silver-armoured and serene, they are the Stormhost most beloved by the common folk, and the most determined to remember the humanity they were forged from.
Hammers of SigmarThe First Stormhost, golden exemplars of the God-King's will and the most celebrated of all Stormcast brotherhoods. Where the Hammers of Sigmar march, the free peoples see the storm itself given form — and the Hammers carry the weight of being legends who are never allowed to fail.
