The Pantheon of Order

Sigmar

The God-King of Azyr, forger of the Stormcast Eternals, who wages eternal vengeance to reclaim the Mortal Realms from the tyranny of Chaos.

Sigmar is the God-King of Azyr, mightiest of the deities of Order and the sole architect of civilisation in the Mortal Realms. Once a mortal warrior-king in a world long dead, he was cast alone through the void until he came upon the newborn realms and the great comet that bore his rediscovered warhammer, Ghal Maraz. Where he walked, order followed.

In the Age of Myth he bound the wild gods into a single Pantheon, forging alliance with Nagash, Alarielle, Grungni, and others to raise gleaming empires across the eight realms. It was a golden age, and Sigmar its heart. Yet the God-King's trust was betrayed: Nagash's treachery shattered the Pantheon from within, and when the hordes of Chaos poured through the realmgates in the Age of Chaos, the divine alliance was already broken.

Driven back to the celestial realm of Azyr, Sigmar sealed its gates and brooded in exile while the realms burned for centuries. From his grief and fury he wrought a weapon of vengeance: the Stormcast Eternals, the noblest souls of the realms caught up in his storm, reforged into immortal warriors and hurled back down as living lightning to break the tyranny of the Dark Gods.

Where his tempest breaks, the Cities of Sigmar rise from the ash, beacons of law and hope in a hostile age. Sigmar is faith made war, and his thunder has not yet fallen silent.
