Ionus Cryptborn was among the very first warriors drawn from death and remade upon the Anvil of Apotheosis, and the age of his soul shows in everything he does. As a Lord-Relictor he is a priest of the storm, keeper of reliquaries wrought from the honoured dead, and he channels celestial lightning to mend the wounds of his brethren or to scourge the foe with tempests summoned by prayer alone.
Grim, weathered, and unshakeably calm, Ionus has fought through more of the God-King's campaigns than almost any Stormcast still standing, and he treats the Reforging as an old companion rather than a horror. His counsel is sought by Lord-Celestants who were forged long after him, for he remembers the first days of the storm when the realmgates were stormed and the long night was broken. Among the Stormcast Eternals he is a living relic himself, the bones of the first storm walking still, and where he raises his reliquary staff the dying find they are not yet done, and the enemy find the heavens have not finished with them either.
