Armed with longstrike or hurricane crossbows, they specialise in the patient, surgical kill, drawing a bead on a warlord or artillery crew and ending the threat before a blow is ever traded.
Many hunt alongside gryph-hounds and aetherwings, keen-eyed companions that flush hidden foes and guard against ambush. Among the Stormcast Eternals they are the coldest and most self-reliant, forged from souls who understood that a single well-placed bolt can be worth a thousand swords. A Vanguard-Raptor waits with the stillness of a stalking cat, breathing slow while the battle rages far below, then looses a shaft of celestial energy that crosses the field like a falling star. Enemy champions have toppled mid-boast, never learning what struck them, for the storm sees them long before they see the storm.
