Named for the six-winged servants said to attend the Emperor's throne, the Seraphim are the Sororitas given wings, jump-pack infantry who descend upon the battlefield in blazing arcs before the enemy has fully registered their presence. Where a Battle Sister embodies patient, grinding faith, a Seraphim embodies faith turned into velocity, hurling herself directly into the heart of enemy formations with dual pistols blazing rather than waiting for the foe to come within a rifle's reach.
The role demands a particular temperament: aggressive to the point of apparent recklessness, yet precise enough to land amid a hostile formation and immediately begin dismantling it rather than simply drawing fire. Many Seraphim squads are led by a Sister Superior distinguished by relic weapons or a modified jump pack trailing consecrated incense, and their sudden, fiery arrivals have become one of the most iconic images associated with Sororitas warfare, a literal descent of angels onto the battlefield.
