No Order claims more convents, more battle-companies, or more scattered detachments than Our Martyred Lady, whose Sisters can be found on garrison duty, crusade, or emergency deployment in nearly every sector of the Imperium at any given moment. This ubiquity is both a strength and a burden: the Order's numbers mean it is rarely absent when catastrophe strikes, but it also means individual Martyred Lady companies often fight alone, far from reinforcement, relying entirely on their own discipline to survive.
The Order takes its name from a nameless Sister whose martyrdom during the Age of Apostasy became one of the founding legends of the Sororitas, a woman who gave her life shielding others from Vandire's purges and whose sacrifice is invoked before nearly every major campaign the Order undertakes. Because the Order's Sisters are so widely dispersed, they have developed a reputation for adaptability, willing to fight in configurations and against threats that more insular Orders would consider outside their purview.

Order of the Argent ShroudA silent, selfless Order of silver-clad Sisters who let their deeds speak for them, striking with lightning speed and committing utterly to the offensive.
Order of the Bloody RoseZealous vanguard Sisters famed for suicidal aggression, who consider a slow death by heresy far worse than a swift one in glorious battle.
Order of the Ebon ChaliceAn ancient and wealthy Order whose Sisters guard priceless relics and pursue heresy with the patient thoroughness of inquisitors.
Order of the Sacred RoseThe most disciplined and composed of the great Orders, Sisters who meet the horrors of war with serene, prayerful calm and refuse ever to break.
Order of the Valorous HeartThe most penitent of the Orders Militant, bearing the ancient guilt of the Sisterhood's complicity in the Reign of Blood and atoning through grim wars of endurance and attrition.
