Dominion Squads are the close-range firepower specialists of the Adepta Sororitas, the shock troops who lead the vanguard of any convent's assault. Where a Battle Sisters Squad forms the disciplined firing line, the Dominions are the tip of the spear, hurled forward to shatter the enemy's front, gut fortified positions, and blunt counterattacks before they can gather momentum. Among the most aggressive warriors an Order fields, they burn with an eagerness to close with the foe that their training only just holds in check.
What makes a Dominion Squad so devastating is the density of special weaponry it carries. While each Sister is issued a boltgun, as many as four in a single squad may instead take up flamers, meltaguns, or storm bolters, allowing the unit to tailor itself to melt armour, cleanse entrenched infantry, or drown a position in a storm of shells. Many Dominions are further schooled as demolitions experts, going to war laden with plasma grenades and melta bombs to breach whatever the enemy hides behind.
In the attack they strike like holy lightning, surging from their transport into point-blank range before the foe can react and unleashing a concentrated deluge of fire. It is brutal, close, and decisive work, and the Dominions embrace it as the purest expression of their zeal, the moment when faith is pressed muzzle-first against the heart of heresy.
