Where the Canoness commands an entire host, the Palatine leads at the sharp edge of the fighting, taking charge of a mission's most perilous undertakings and rallying her sisters through sheer force of conviction. She has survived a hundred battlefields where others fell, and every scar beneath her armour is a testament to a faith that death itself could not shake. In the press of combat she is a whirlwind of consecrated steel, her blade blessed and her aim guided by belief, and her voice cuts through the din to steady those around her. Ambitious Palatines may one day rise to the rank of Canoness themselves, should they prove worthy in the Emperor's sight, but until that day they lead by example, first into the breach and last to leave the field, embodying the martial and spiritual excellence to which every Sister aspires.
