A Novitiate Squad is drawn from the aspirants of the Adepta Sororitas, young women who have pledged their lives to the Emperor but not yet taken the final vows that would make them full Battle Sisters. Their training is not confined to cloister and chapel; true faith, the Orders teach, is forged in fire, and so novitiates are sent into battle alongside their elders to temper their devotion against the horrors of the galaxy. A squad carries a mix of arms, bolt weapons, blades, and the simple tools of the zealot, and among them walk those marked for greater roles: a superior to lead, a hospitaller-in-training to tend the fallen, a bearer of holy scripture to steel their courage. They fight with the reckless ardour of the newly faithful, eager to prove themselves worthy of the sisterhood they aspire to join. Many do not survive their trials, but those who do emerge hardened, their belief annealed into the unbreakable steel that defines a true Sister of Battle.
