When the Deathwatch must strike directly at a foe's stronghold, they send their Terminators. Sheathed in the thickest armour the Adeptus Astartes possess, these veterans can materialise deep within an enemy position and endure a storm of fire that would annihilate ordinary warriors. Their role is to take and hold the most contested ground, to smash apart alien defences at point-blank range, and to serve as an unbreakable anchor around which a kill team fights.
Deathwatch Terminators carry the order's specialised weaponry into the closest and most brutal engagements. Their storm-pattern bolt weapons and crushing melee armaments are loaded and forged to slay whatever species they face, from chitinous swarm-beasts to living-metal necrons. Slow but implacable, they advance through enemy fire like a black tide of ceramite, crushing all resistance beneath their tread. Where they plant their feet, the aliens do not pass. For a foe that thought its inner sanctum secure, the sudden appearance of Deathwatch Terminators is a death sentence delivered from within.
