Executioners are the grim headsmen of Har Ganeth, the city of the cult of Khaine, warriors who have made an art and a sacrament of killing. They wield the draich, a heavy two-handed blade honed to a razor's edge, and they swing it with the cold, practised precision of those who have taken a thousand heads. There is no frenzy in the Executioners as there is in the Witch Elves; theirs is a colder devotion, a ritual discipline in which every stroke is meant to sever cleanly and every death is an offering. In battle they carve through the finest armour as though it were cloth, decapitating champions and monsters with equal ease, and the sight of their black-clad ranks advancing has broken the nerve of many a foe. To be marked for death by an Executioner of Har Ganeth is to be already dead; only the falling of the blade remains.
