Hag Graef, the Dark Crag, lies deep within a rift in the black mountains where the sun never reaches, a city of perpetual shadow ruled by the proudest and most ruthless nobility in all Naggaroth. Its lords, the drachau chief among them, are schemers and duellists to a soul, and the politics of the Dark Crag are conducted as often by assassin's blade as by spoken word. From the deep vales around the city ride the dreaded Cold One Knights, high-born druchii mounted upon savage reptilian beasts, the pride and the terror of Hag Graef's armies.
Above all, Hag Graef is a city built upon slavery. The greatest markets in Naggaroth are held within its sunless streets, where the captives dragged home by the black arks are bought, sold, and worked to death in the mines that riddle the mountains beneath. The wealth of the Dark Crag is measured in chained flesh, and its nobles have refined the arts of cruelty into a courtly pastime. Cold, proud, and utterly without pity, Hag Graef is the druchii aristocracy distilled to its blackest essence.
