Khaine is the elven god of murder, war, and strife, the Bloody-Handed God whose worship is written in slaughter and sacrifice. Of all the elven deities he is the most feared, for he embodies not honourable battle but killing for its own sake, the cold joy of the blade and the spilling of blood. Where he is honoured, cruelty follows close behind.
Among the Dark Elves his cult reigns supreme, the black centre of their savage faith. His Witch Elves, the Brides of Khaine, bathe in the blood of sacrificial victims to preserve their unnatural youth, and his temples run red with offerings torn from screaming captives. To the druchii, murder is devotion, and no god is served more eagerly.
Even the High Elf Realms cannot escape his shadow, for they too descend from those who once worshipped him, and they dread the day his influence should rise again. His terrible avatar, the Widowmaker, stands as a black sword thrust into the Blighted Isle, and it is prophesied that should an elf ever draw it, they shall become the incarnation of Khaine himself, and drown the world in war.
Khaine is the darkness in the elven soul made divine, the whispered truth that even the proud and beautiful children of the eldest race carry murder in their hearts. He is a god who promises victory in blood, and demands blood as its only price.
