The Gatebreaker of the Breaker Tribe is a Mega-Gargant of the Sons of Behemat consumed by a single, smouldering hatred: walls, and the arrogant little folk who hide behind them. Where other tribes hunt for meat or plunder, the Breakers wage war on architecture itself, and a Gatebreaker will cross a realm to tear down a fortress that has offended it simply by existing. Armed with an enormous spiked club and a fortress-key hammer wrenched from some ruined citadel, it batters gates from their hinges, topples towers and reaches over ramparts to pluck defenders from the wall-walk like ripe fruit. There is old spite in these giants, a jealous loathing for the settled races who build to keep the Sons of Behemat out, and a Gatebreaker takes visible, vindictive pleasure in reducing centuries of masonry to rubble in an afternoon. When one appears on the horizon of a besieged city, the defenders learn that no wall in the Mortal Realms was ever truly tall enough.
