Gatebreaker Mega-Gargant

Civilization's least favourite mega-gargant — a fortress-hating colossus of the Breaker Tribes whose wrecking-flail has ended more sieges than any army.

Gatebreakers hate the works of the littl'uns with a passion that borders on religion. Walls, keeps, aqueducts, statues of small people looking pleased with themselves — all of it offends the Gatebreaker on a level it never bothers to articulate, and all of it comes down. Its favoured weapon is a flail improvised from wreckage on a heroic scale, swung hard enough to open a curtain wall like an egg.

Breaker Tribes follow these grim colossi through the graveyards of architecture they leave behind. Where other mega-gargants fight for loot or fun, a Gatebreaker's wars have the flavour of a settling of accounts — long ages of being walled out, hunted, and shot at by tiny people on battlements, repaid one toppled tower at a time. Chaos warlords and orruk warclans pay well for that grudge, and the free cities have learned to dread the particular dust cloud that means a Gatebreaker is coming to collect in person.
