The Kraken-eater of the Taker Tribe is a Mega-Gargant of the Sons of Behemat whose people wade the great oceans and river-deltas of the realms, plucking their livelihood from the deep. Named for the sea-monsters they hunt and devour, these titans think of everything smaller than themselves as fair game to be taken — cattle, ships, coastal cities and the folk within them, all swept up in the vast net each Kraken-eater drags behind it like a fisherman's haul. In war they fight with a colossal shackle-and-anchor to smash formations flat, and a heavy boot custom-made for kicking down walls and punting champions into the next valley. The Taker Tribe values plunder above all, and a Kraken-eater is judged by the weight of treasure and captives sloshing in its net. Slow to anger but impossible to stop once roused, one of these giants can turn the tide of a siege simply by reaching over the ramparts and helping itself to whatever — and whoever — lies behind them.
