The Knight-Styrix is the darker counterpart to the Magaera, a Questoris war-suit of the same rare Mechanicum lineage but configured for the merciless flaying of the enemy rather than the enduring of his blows. Its volkite chieorovile and graviton weaponry strip armour and flesh from a target in horrifying fashion, reducing even the mightiest foe to slag and ash, while its hekaton siege claw crushes what remains.
There is something predatory and cruel in the Styrix's design, an engine built to make an example of whatever it hunts, and the households that field it often cultivate a fearsome reputation to match. On the battlefield it stalks the enemy's elite, closing to the range at which its weapons are most terrible and dismantling its prey piece by piece. Loyalist and traitor alike prized the Styrix in the Heresy as a slayer of infantry, armour, and god-engines, a Knight whose every kill is a spectacle of ruin.
