Aldric Vyronii

Baron Aldric Vyronii ruled House Vyronii through the darkest years of the Age of Darkness, a lord whose unbending fidelity to his oaths became the very definition of his house's honour. Raised amid the storms and shattered archipelagos of his home world, Aldric was a warrior tempered by the harshest of environments, as skilled in leading a landing assault from the belly of an assault ship as in commanding his scions across open ground. He rode to war in an ancient Knight of his line, a war-suit heavy with the honours of the barons who had piloted it before him, and he carried their expectations as a sacred charge.

When the Heresy shattered the loyalties of the Knightly houses, Aldric never wavered, holding House Vyronii to the oaths his forebears had sworn to Terra even as prouder houses cast theirs aside. He led his scions into campaign after campaign against the traitor houses, spending the strength of Vyronii without complaint in the loyalist cause. The Oathkeeper, his allies named him, for he would sooner see his house bled white than break faith with the Emperor. By the war's end his bloodline was grievously thinned and his ancient Knights lost, but the honour of Vyronii endured, kept whole by a baron who valued it above his own life and line.
