House Krast was a Knight house of unbending loyalty and zealous devotion, bound closely to the Mechanicum of Mars and famed across the Great Crusade for an implacable hatred of the alien and the traitor alike. Where some houses cultivated the graces of feudal courtesy, Krast prized martial fervour above all, its scions raised to see the extermination of the enemies of Mankind as a sacred charge rather than a mere duty. Its Knights went to war with a grim, crusading zeal, and the house's long service alongside the Titan Legions and the tech-priests of Mars had woven the rites of the Machine Cult deep into its traditions. When the Heresy came and Mars itself was torn by civil war, Krast held true to the Emperor and to the loyalist cause, and its scions hurled themselves into the war against the traitor houses and Legions with the same fervour they had once turned upon xenos foes. They fought at Beta-Garmon and across the war's great battlefields, their Knights standing beside loyalist Titans in the thickest fighting. To the traitors, House Krast was a relentless and pitiless foe, a house that neither bargained nor relented, and whose zealotry made its scions as terrible in the defence of the Imperium as any Legion of the Emperor's own making.
