The Acastus Knight-Asterius is one of the largest of all Knight patterns, an Acastus-class war-suit that dwarfs the common Questoris engines and approaches the lesser Titans in stature and firepower. Its twin conversion beam cannon grow more destructive the greater the distance to their target, letting the Asterius reach out and cripple enemy engines and fortifications from across the battlefield.
Shielded by layered ion fields and a karacnos mortar battery for closer work, the Asterius is a rare and precious engine, maintained only by the wealthiest and most favoured households in close cooperation with the Mechanicum. It exists to stand where a Titan might otherwise be needed, duelling god-engines and shattering strongpoints with equal facility. In the Heresy its appearance signalled that a household committed its very finest to the fight, an ancient war-suit whose guns could turn the tide of a Titan-battle.
