The Armiger was a lighter class of war-suit that fought as the loyal squire to the greater Knights, a swift and agile engine deployed in packs to hunt the enemies of its house. Smaller and less heavily armed than a Questoris Knight, the Armiger made up for its lesser stature with speed and numbers, ranging ahead of the household's line to run down fleeing foes, screen the flanks of its towering kin, and swarm larger enemies the greater Knights held in place. Piloted by scions not yet raised to a full Knight, the Armiger was bound by the same codes of honour as its betters, if not yet trusted with their ancient suits. Armed with a reaper chain-cleaver or a potent ranged weapon, it was more than a match for enemy infantry and light armour, and a pack hunting in concert could bring down prey far larger than any single Armiger. In the household at war, they were the eager hounds coursing at the heels of the noble Knights.
