The Knight-Magaera is a Questoris-class war-suit built to a rare Mechanicum pattern, armed with esoteric energy weaponry and sheathed in ion-shielding augmented by an ionised flare shield of adamantine cunning. Its signature feature is a reactive defence system that harvests the energy of incoming fire and channels it into the Knight's own devastating arc weaponry, so that the harder the enemy strikes, the more terrible the Magaera's answer becomes.
Wielding a lightning locus and a hydra siege drill, it duels enemy engines at close range, weathering their fire and turning it against them in searing arcs of released power. The forge worlds that maintain the Magaera pattern hold it in high regard, and the noble scions who pilot them fight with the confidence of warriors whose armour grows stronger under punishment. In the Heresy, both loyal and traitor households fielded these engines wherever a foe's heaviest weapons had to be met and mastered.
