The Ministorum Priest is the spiritual iron in the spine of the Astra Militarum, an ordained servant of the Adeptus Ministorum who marches to war beside the common soldiery. His weapon is faith as much as steel: through bellowed sermon, war-hymn and the promise of the Emperor's judgement, he transforms frightened conscripts into howling zealots willing to charge gun-nests and worse.
Priests wander the war-torn Imperium ministering to troops who may never have heard the God-Emperor's word, and in the crucible of combat they lead from the very front, wading into the melee with eviscerator or chainsword held high while exhorting the faithful to acts of suicidal courage. Their presence stiffens wavering lines and turns doomed positions into last stands that pass into regimental legend.
Some carry ancient relics and sacred texts, others little more than a hymnal and an unshakeable conviction, but all share a burning intolerance for cowardice, doubt and the taint of the heretic. To fight beside a Priest is to be reminded, at the very top of his lungs, that death in the Emperor's service is the highest honour a mortal can earn.
