The Scyllax Guardian-automata are humanoid cybernetic constructs of the Mechanicum, built to serve as tireless bodyguards and enforcers for the tech-priests and their most precious holdings. Faster and more autonomous than the great battle-automata, they move with an unsettling, machine-precise gait, their bodies bristling with integrated weaponry and warded with self-repairing systems.
Deployed in disciplined maniples, the Scyllax anchor a Mechanicum battle-line and hunt down infiltrators who would threaten their masters, applying cold, algorithmic violence without hesitation or mercy. Some carry surgical apparatus that lets them reclaim the wargear and cortical remains of the fallen, dragging the dead back for the forge to render down. To face them is to fight an enemy that neither tires, fears, nor questions the imperatives written into its unliving mind.
