The Domitar Automata was a war-robot forged for the brutal work of the assault, an engine built to close the distance at speed and break the enemy apart at arm's reach. Where siege-automata bombarded from afar, the Domitar charged, its reinforced legs driving it into the heart of the foe before its great graviton hammers fell, crushing armour and bone with the weight of a collapsing star. Faster than its heavier kin, it was loosed to exploit a breach or to shatter a stubborn strongpoint that ranged fire could not dislodge, its cortex-mind fixed on the single imperative to reach and destroy. Wreathed in the din of its own charge, the Domitar was a terror to face in the close press, for little could stand before the fall of its hammers and less could hope to outrun it. In the Schism of Mars, Domitar cohorts spearheaded the assaults that turned forge-temple against forge-temple, breaking open bastions that had stood inviolate for millennia.
