The Skull Reapers

The Skull Reapers are a smaller, harder warband distinguished by their obsessive collection of skulls, which they regard as the purest possible tribute to Khorne. Fast, disciplined by World Eaters standards, and led by veteran headsmen, they specialise in decapitation strikes against enemy leaders, seeking the most worthy skulls the battlefield can offer.

Where many World Eaters kill indiscriminately, the Skull Reapers hunt with grim purpose. To them, not all deaths are equal; the skull of a champion, a commander, or a psyker is worth a hundred common kills in the eyes of their god. This conviction lends the warband a rare focus, for they will drive straight through massed enemy formations to reach the leaders behind, ignoring easier prey in pursuit of the trophies that matter most.

The Reapers are led by their most accomplished headsmen, champions who have taken so many worthy skulls that Khorne's favour hangs about them like a shroud. Their war-gear is festooned with the bleached tribute of ten thousand years, and each warrior keeps a personal tally of the greatest kills he has claimed. In battle they move with unsettling speed and coordination, striking at the heart of the enemy before the wider slaughter has even begun. When the Skull Reapers appear, it is a sign that their god has marked a particular soul for harvest, and few so marked survive the encounter.
